Completion of the Family Mediation Training course is recommended but not required.
This class offers a clear and practical overview of mediating support issues in Virginia, with a focus on the Income Shares Model used to calculate child support. Participants learn how to apply sole, shared, split, and complex guidelines, including day-counting, deviations, and determining income from employment, self-employment, and benefits. The course also addresses common income adjustments, special considerations such as military pay, and provides an introduction to temporary (pendente lite) spousal support.
Registration Deadline: June 22, 2026. Full payment is due by June 26, 2026.
Meet the Trainers: Kim Graham and Sara McAllister, Limitless Possibilities Mediation Services LLC, are Virginia Certified JDR Mediators, Mentors, and Trainers and, together, they have nearly 40 years of mediation experience. They coordinate some of southeastern Virginia’s JDR courts and have mediated hundreds of family support cases.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: We may cancel the training for insufficient registration or inclement weather and will issue all registrants a full refund of any payments made. Cancellation by a participant must be done, in writing, by June 22, 2026, in order to receive a full refund. If cancellation is made after June 22, 2026, the participant will receive a refund less the $75 deposit. Participants who fail to cancel or attend the training (“No-Shows”), will be charged the full amount of the training and will forfeit the deposit and any payments made towards the training.
